Possible Resources to Use to Search
for Funding Support for Arche Tech Program COS (Community of Science) funding database is the major database used by institutions of higher education to identify funding resources. By subscription only. UCSC is a member institution. Perhaps you know someone at UCSC who can facilitate access. Or, perhaps, Melinda at the Cabrillo College Foundation has some kind of arrangement for access to this (used to be called SPIN, I believe). Foundation Center They are offering 24 hour free search of their online Foundation Directory database (or were, when I was at the site). When I signed up and did a search (on 4/23), there were 945 records representing funding by foundations that had the subject term archaeology associated with them, and 86 of those were in California.
