System used to arrange materials on the shelves
Cabrillo
College Library uses the Library of Congress (LC) Classification
System to physically organize its collections of books and
videorecordings.
The classification system uses an alphanumeric code, referred
to as a call number. Call numbers group materials
on similar topics together. At the same time, call numbers
identify the exact physical location of items on the shelves.
