become familiar with the variety of reference tools your library
owns.
Many of these reference sources may be available online as well.
Let's take a closer look at the different types of information

a specific subject area such as anthropology, art, computers,
death and dying, environment, ethics, fantasy, geology,
history, medicine, terrorism, propaganda...well, you get
the idea.

present data and statistics on business, economics, politics,

dictionary focuses on one discipline or subject area.
Look up terms,
identify related terms on a specific research topic. Become
familiar with the lexicon of your subject area. Each term
or keyword you can add to your list will yield useful information.
