Men's Tux Ordering Information
There is a web
page available for you to order your tuxedo directly from Uniformal
Warehouse. If you order from this web page, the negotiated discounts
are already applied. It is possible for you to order by phone if you
use our catalog item numbers that start with #SYM- . The ordering link
is at the bottom of this email. Please read everything before ordering
and order early enough to allow for getting the pants hemmed or handle
an exchange if necessary.
The Symphonic
attire consists of
- Black tuxedo
jacket with notch lapel and pleated trousers with satin stripe.
- Black Cumberbun
and black tie.
- Wing tip pleated
tux shirt with black studs & cufflinks.
- It is recommended
that you have at least one extra tux shirt.
- Nice black
leather shoes with black socks (i.e. no black tennis shoes or
the like)
Tropical Wool vs. Super 100 Wool
- There are two
tux fabrics to choose from and both are wool.
- The Tropical
Wool fabric is light, cool and comfortable and is durable.
- The Super 100
Wool fabric has a finer weave that looks nicer, but is more
expensive and is not quite as durable.
Complete Package vs. Coat, Cumberbun & Tie Ala Carte
- If you don't
have a tux, order one of the complete packages in tropical wool or super
100 wool depending upon your budget. The super 100 is a nicer
tuxedo.
- If you already
have a tails tux and you are trying to save a little money, you can
order the tux coat, cumberbun & tie ala carte. However, for just
little more you can order the complete package and have extra trousers,
shirt, studs and cuff links. If you sing in choirs, you may need extra
shirts and trousers for multiple performances anyway.
- There is a recommended
option to upgrade to a 100% cotton shirt which is more comfortable
for an additional $15 (not available in boys sizes).
- You may also
purchase extra shirts ala carte.
Some tips on sizing
- Know your sizes! ie. coat, shirt (neck & sleeve) and waist. The trousers are not
hemmed, so you will have to have that done here.
- If you don't
know your sizes, get professional help from a tailor or men's store.
- Some men like
to order the shirt neck size 1/2 inch larger so they don't choke when
they sing.
- Your coat sleeves
should not need to be altered. If they turn out to be a tiny bit long,
they will be okay when you hold your music up.
- The
Tropical Wool trousers
have adjustable waists (they have a clip on either side of the waist band
and can be taken in or let out instantly) and come in 3 inch groups, ie 33-35, 36-38. If your waist size is borderline on the top of the
range, consider getting the next size up and getting it taken in if
it is necessary.
- The Super
100 trousers do not have adjustable waists and are ordered in your
actual waist size.
- Triple check
your selected sizes when you order on the web page before you finalize
your order !!!
Shoes
- If you do not
have a pair of nice black leather shoes, there are two inexpensive
tux shoes available. In order to get the discounted prices you must
order them with your tux. They aren't the best quality shoes. They
are made available here only in case you don't already have shoes.
Orders, Returns and Shipping
- There will
be a shipping charge for UPS ground for your order. (But no sales
tax!)
- If you need
to exchange items you will have to pay the round trip shipping. With
UPS ground, the turn around time will be one week each way, plus however
long it takes them to process the return.
- Leave the tags
on the items, keep shirts packaged and save the shipping box until
you are sure you won't need to exchange anything.
- If you order
by phone, use our catalog numbers only and double check that you are
getting the negotiated price.
